Yakurr
YAKURR'S LAND. YAKURR'S CULTURE. YAKURR'S PROSPERITY.
Agriculture. Enterprise. Tourism. Jobs.
THE ODEY-ARCHIBONG PLAN FOR YAKURR
PROTECT THE LAND. HONOUR THE CULTURE. CREATE THE FUTURE.
Agriculture
Strengthen food production, processing and market access.
Culture as an Economy
Leboku and Yakurr's cultural heritage can support tourism, creative enterprise and hospitality.
Mineral Governance
Limestone and uranium deposits require particularly careful scientific, environmental and regulatory assessment. No exploitation should proceed without appropriate safeguards.
Youth Enterprise
Connect agriculture, culture, tourism and digital enterprise to young people's economic participation.
Infrastructure
Improve roads and services connecting farming and cultural communities.
OUR PROMISE
Yakurr should never have to choose between preserving its identity and pursuing prosperity. Its land and culture can become foundations for a future that still feels unmistakably Yakurr.
